Top or Diagonal ?? - 2

Same chart options as yesterday. We said we could see 'five up'. It appears we are getting that. This morning we said this impulse 'could' go to 4,350 to 4,360. We are in that range now. For charts, see yesterday's post.

Have a good start to the evening.

    1. Stop leaving multiple messages. Did you even read the first line in the post above? Did you even read that comments are on moderation and I'll get to them as time permits? Did you even read yesterday we are likely in a wave v of an impulse?

  5. Thanks for the update TJ.
I have identified a 3 drive pattern on the NQ_100 60min chart for anyone who is interested. It is currently at the 78.6 percent retracement level of the initial move down.

  7. ES 30-min. Wave v of impulse 'may' have ended in the overnight at 4,361. But we need to see a retrace that does not go over the high. Patience. 4,366 is v = i.

    1. [IF] we completed (c) of ((ii)), we should now seem some acceleration for beginning of ((iii))?

    2. I should rephrase - [IF][when] (c) of ((ii)) is complete, should we expect to see downside acceleration right away, or more towards beginning of (iii) of ((iii))?
      Thanks

  8. At this point the VIX has survived the back test and has a higher high and higher low. Watching.

  9. TJ,
Great work as always. I've been a loyal follower since the video days. Thanks for all you do to teach us sound Elliot techniques. I will say I learn a lot when you break down the bad posts and charts. I'm sure its annoying. Maybe you could let a few through every now and then for fun. ;)

  10. One reason I caution patience, is we may need to get the count out of 'triangle jail', first. I don't like lone tops that occurs overnight in the ES only, and I noted that SPY did make a new high this morning.

    1. ..it's just that it can also be counted this way which looks a bit more proportional, and may not involve a degree violation in futures.

    2. ES 30-min; here's a chart update. An (E) wave of a potential triangle is now valid as it has crossed back over the ((iii)) wave. The invalidation points for a triangle are shown.

      https://invst.ly/vice8

And, yes, you 'may' consider below the (C) wave as invalidating because it would be hard to form another low for a (C) wave and keep inside the triangle.

  12. For triangle pattern VIX "should" be trending sideways or lower ahead of an upward break imho...

  13. Is the diagonal still an option? Could we have completed 5 of a last night and now we could be in a time wasting b flat getting ready for new highs, c of iii for Friday/Monday?

    1. yes, the larger upward diagonal is still on the table. The situation is we either have to take out the all-time-high or the recent 4,127 low. Sorry, it's just the way Elliott Wave logic works.

    1. You all can thank 'phil'. If any of you want to smoke out his cover or convince him not to post in the form of "buy signal" or "sell signal" that is up to you. Until then, I don't give a whit as to whether you can enjoy this experience or not. Last word I had is that he has his own site he is trying to attract others to. That is not the purpose of this blog.

I have been completely consistent about this with all blog posters. I am not interested in your trading signals because you may be on one time-frame or indicator, and someone else may be on a different one. Someone may be short term trader - another may be an investor. Keep the signals "out of here". It is not too hard to figure out if price is above the 18-day SMA or not.
