Third Wave, As Expected

No change to the overall daily count. Still expecting prices to parallel (or make a larger Flat) with the parallel option shown below.

ES Futures - Daily - Likely C of (X)

Early this morning, we noted the advance-decline statistics were greater than 1-to-10 to in favor of declining issues. That ratio held through the close of the session, so it appears to be a "kick-off" wave lower. For the Flat option, prices would re-test the lows in some fashion.

Have a good start to your evening.

  1. ET, Why do you not view this as the 5th wave up from 09?

    1. Hi Bill, that rationale was explained months ago in this post. Please copy and paste the link.

    2. Thank you for re-posting the link, somehow I must have missed that one but your analysis looks spot-on. Much appreciated.

  2. Seeing degree play in NQ 5 mins. b > any of the sub waves of 1 so might be part of flat of higher degree.

    1. ET, if b is considered as subwave of 3rd wave it has to be smaller than wave labelled as 1 right ? So it makes me feel that, this is part of 2nd flat wave.

    2. There was no overlap of b to 1 so that turned out to be wave 3.

    3. Correction: no overlap of expected wave c to 1.

    4. @E_D_T; one of the reasons I don't analyze other people's charts is many don't understand degree labeling yet. You have made two errors: 1) analyzing your wave in a vacuum - that is without regard to prior waves, and 2) the internal waves of the wave of interest in this case only have to be shorter than the "entire" prior wave of the higher degree in the same direction.

Please accept this only in the spirit-of-learning. Nothing is else is meant by it. But, clearly if I analyzed everyone's waves I'd have no time for anything else. I made an exception in this case.

    5. ..p.s. that is exactly 'how' a 'c' wave can "grow" to become 1.618 or 2.618 x 'a'.

  3. Hello Joe
Sorry to bother, Does this count have a merit? Given the political/economic uncertainty and to consume more time for X wave.
Thanks for your time and input.

    1. Your degree symbols are incorrect; you need to learn them and to apply them. Otherwise, 1-2-3 is always the equal and opposite of A-B-C, until it is not; as per The Eight Fold Path Method.

    3. I just was showing a general concept. I dont know how to change those digits on trading view

      Delete
    4. ..just select the "degree" of wave on the properties for the digits on tradingview (i.e. double-click the wave, select minor, minute, etc., and hit "OK").

  4. Here's where I think we are on the ES 4-hr chart. Don't worry about the length of iii of (iii), as far as I can tell it ended much earlier and made a flat for wave iv. I just had to have a terminus to hang the wave label on.

  5. If this is the correct count on NQ, ES might do a very extended 5th wave
